Unlinking refugees to Paris attack.

By now, most of us have heard about the attacks in the french capital on Friday evening. For those who haven't, here is a brief summary:
First attack Friday 13th of November, Stade de France - explosion outside the national stadium while France played Germany. Little after a second explosion echoes inside the stadium. Both carried out by suicide bombers.
Minutes later, in Paris's 10th districts gunmen arrive with rifles at two restaurants, Le Carrion and Le Petit Cambodge.
Soon after, another explosion at Stade de France, meanwhile a shooting was carried out at La Bonne Bier in the 11th district. Followed by shootings at La Belle Equipe and Comptoir Voltaire, another two restaurants.
Finally, the last attack at around 9:40 in the concert venue Bataclan, also by shootings.

All of these attacks happened between 9:20 and 9:40. As many start hearing of the attacks they automatically started to link them with the Syrian refugees. This is plastered all over social networks.

I personally do not believe this is fair, people are trying to escape the Syrian war and the threat of the Islamic State.
"People who climbed mountains or crossed the Mediterranean on rafts did not arrive in France and transform themselves immediately into armed terrorist killers" said Anne Applebaum, and I agree. We can not automatically link these two facts, the same as we can not automatically link a Muslim with a terrorist or a coloured person as a culprit in a crime. Despite its unfairness we live in a world where this is inevitable.People are creatures of this nature, unfortunately.
Being a person who is a supporter of equality, this kind of thing bugs me, so when I heard that Ben Carson, republican candidate for 2016 elections had argued that United States should now block Middle Eastern refugees from entering the country, I became infuriated.
Of course, he wasn't the only one putting the blame on the Middle Eastern refugees and, as I mentioned before, the link of IS attacks and Syrian refugees was flourishing all over the internet.
Yet it is important to state that this operation was planned or carried out by refugees as the actual killers knew the city very well.

It has been a scare for Europe this weekend and also for the rest of the world, we are in an epoch where terrorism is frequent, where killing is normal, where violence is inevitable and where action is taken but never enough. I ask myself in what world are we living? And how long will it be until World War III is declared, officially I mean? I say officially as many believe WWIII has already begun, although unrecognizable, of course, again, it will be a bankers war, where countries who are already on the border of collapsing will reach for extra power and wipe out many others, because at the end of the day, none of us plebeians matter to the imperial patricians, all they are interested in is infinite power and copious amounts of money.

My condolences to all those affected.

What's your goal?

Life goals, something not many people really think about. I, on the other hand, have a sort of obsession  when it comes to thinking about the future and life in general, what are we doing? Where are we going? What is it all for? At the end of the day we are just mere pawns, answering to bishops who answer to the knights and the rooks who answer to the king and the queen, not literally of course, but you get what I mean, just pieces in a game we call life. Ask yourselves right now what are your life goals? What do you want to get out of life? Health, money, love, friendship, travel... so many things people aspire to. I have no clue when it comes to what I want. We study to work, work to pay bills, pay bills to live 'comfortably', live 'comfortably' to be happy, be happy to enjoy life and enjoy life to eventually die. How many of us are really enjoying life or doing what we want?  When is it too late to go after your life goals? At this very moment, 18:04 on ...

Bettering the world, together.

All I keep seeing on social media these last few days is how we can make a better world together? what makes anyone think that it is even possible? It's us who are ruining, more and more each year, the world itself. Some say why do we think we can fix it? I say there is no loss in trying.  Unfortunately we live in a world where money is power and power is key to success, so they say. Where is this way of thinking getting us? In debt and compliant to others. It takes movements like terrorism in Europe or random shootings in the States for anyone to acknowledge the state the world is in.  The younger generation, or what is know to some as generation Y or millennium generation, those born in the mid 80's and 90's, worry about what can be done to help the world as a whole.  This is a worry that most generations before us didn't have, maybe because they weren't generally as privileged as we are, most of us grew up with all out fundamental needs met...

Career prospects: Spain vs the rest of the world.

When you study abroad you meet people from all over the world. You exchange cultural traditions, you maybe try to learn some words in their language but you also discuss the differences about academics, about work prospects and each others plans for the future.  This is actually really depressing for someone who lives or studies in Spain. The chances of you getting a job after graduation in Spain in your field is around 60-65% depending on your university (public schools only). This of course is only applicable if you have gained some previous experience, which the majority of us haven’t or won’t. ‘You can’t get a job without experience’. How do you gain experience then if no company will give you the chance?  When you compare this to other universities around the world or not necessarily by university but by country it becomes quite scary. In Spain we do a four year course and then are facing a one year master course. Master courses are made for you to speciali...
